Code of Ethics for Players


East Chatham Little League
Player Code of Ethics

Each player participating in East Chatham Little League pledges that he/she will:

Be positive about his/her youth sports experience and accept the responsibility for his/her participation in East Chatham Little League by following this Player’s Code of Ethics.

Encourage good sportsmanship from fellow players, coaches, officials and parents at every game and practice by demonstrating good sportsmanship.

Attend every practice and game that he/she can and notify his/her coach if he/she cannot.

Do his/her very best to listen and learn from his/her coaches.

Treat his/her coaches, other players, officials and fans with respect regardless of race, sex, creed or ability and expect to be treated accordingly.

Have fun during his/her participation in East Chatham Little League and alert his/her parents and coaches if it stops being fun.

Play in an environment that is free of drugs, tobacco and alcohol and expect adults to refrain from their use at all program events.

Encourage his/her parents to be involved with his/her team in some capacity because it is important to him/her.

Do his/her very best in school.

Remember that sports are an opportunity to learn and have fun.

Review that Handbook with his/her parent(s) and follow all program rules, regulations and procedures.
