East Chatham Little League Evaluation Day
February 6, 2022 @ PIT Field (behind Pittsboro Elementary)
ALL PLAYERS, except for the Tee-Ball (6U) and 14U divisions, must attend player evaluations prior to the start of the spring season. Tee-ball players will be placed on teams by the Board, and this is the only division ECLL will consider teammate and coach requests. All players will be included in the draft regardless of whether they attend evaluations. If players are unable to attend and are not able to be assigned an evaluation score by coaches or board members, they will be placed onto a team through a blind draw.
*Anyone wanting their child to play ABOVE their appropriate age division must email the ECLL Board: [email protected]. Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
For players requesting to move up a division, they must attend evaluations for their league age division AND the age division above. For tee-ball players requesting to play up in 8U, they will attend the league age 7 evals. After the completion of evaluations, the Board will contact the parents if any requests are denied.
On evaluation day, please arrive 30 minutes before your player’s evaluation time to allow for check in and warm-up time.

1:00 – 2:00 League age 7

2:00 – 3:00 League age 8

3:00 – 3:45 League age 9

3:45 – 4:15 Pitchers/Catchers 9/10

4:15 – 5:00 League age 10

5:00 – 5:30 League age 11

5:30 – 6:00 Pitchers/Catchers 11/12

6:00 – 6:30 League age 12
Each player will be evaluated on the following skills:

Hitting (players will get 5 pitches)

Fielding a ball at shortstop and throwing to first base (3 ground balls)

If a player wants to be evaluated as a pitcher and/or catcher for 10U and 12U, they will have that option as well.
